You can make even the shortest/most sparse lashes look longer and fuller without the use of falsies or lash extensions. It just takes a few extra minutes and some layering of your products (this also works really great for defining lashes if you have hooded eyes or a monolid)

Our lashes become thinner as we age. They just do. And lash extensions or falsies may not be for everyone (I’m not personally a fan of the weight of falsies for daily wear, and I already have so little lashes naturally, that the upkeep and potential damage of extensions on my natural lashes just aren’t worth it for me.) So, for me, a few additional steps in my mascara routine are totally worth it.

Products needed:
▶️lash curler (my favorites are by @kevynaucoin and @shiseido)
▶️Lash primer (my favorites are the @lorealparis voluminous lash primer and the @essence_cosmetics volume booster lash primer)
▶️A lengthening/defining mascara (I love the @loreal telescopic and @maybelline lash stiletto mascaras. The brushes can grab/define even the shortest/most sparse lashes)
▶️A volumizing mascara. You can use really any volumizing mascara. (I like the @essence_cosmetics false lash effect mascara and @milkmakeup Kush mascaras for layering.)

Directions:
1️⃣Curl lashes. Starting at the root of your lashes, curl it a few more times as you move closer to the ends of your lashes
2️⃣Apply a coat of your lash primer (this builds volume and also helps to lock in your curl)
3️⃣Apply an even coat of your lengthening/defining mascara. A good brush should do most of the work for you. Make sure your application is even. The more even, the better the volumizing mascara will lay on top. Tip: really emphasize the lashes on the inner portion of your eye (towards your tear ducts.) Defining these lashes really helps in opening up your eyes.
4️⃣Apply your volumizing mascara. A good volumizing mascara should build with minimal clumping. It should have a brush that will aid in separating clumps.
*️⃣*️⃣Bonus tips: the faster you work with your products, the more even your application will be. If you let each layer really dry down and settle prior to applying the next product, you have a higher chance of clumping. Also, if you use this technique along with my “looking down into a mirror when applying mascara” trick, you’ll be able to get even more definition
